Again the post Dilemma

To post or not to post- When I put 100+ pictures on Flickr, post on my blog, have twitter, Facebook, and linked in all posting the same data, not to mention my own personal website.

I was going to put this on Facebook, but then realized IT DOESN' MATTER. SO I'm adding a pillar, which I think will be more conducive to my daily routine.

I read the happiness project, after running into it in barnes and noble or at least outlined it, and somewhere in the mix was create a 10 commandments (you're do's and don'ts for life) and a daily ritual. My 10 commandments (you can have as many as you like) are as follows:

1. Be Sean
I do this pretty well, but I think what it really reminds me of is being around people who allow me to enjoy myself, and not try and be someone else, cooler, meaner, more of an asshole, it happens, and "be sean" reminds me to be me

2. Do unto other as you would have them do to you
The golden Rule, it feels somewhat redundant, not sure if I really ever think of this, I might be more of a utilitarian when I'm considering doing something nefarious (should everybody do this?, no'? oh well? I think that they should be able to do this. People are stupid though, and fall allot...so they created laws for everybody, but I'm ok with breaking them)

3. Smiles are contagious
It's silly but true- could make a jummy buffet based sign that reminds me to do this before I get out the door "If you're not smiling go back to bed"

4. Help them
This has brought me to some really cool places. I was reading Seth Godins Tribes in a book store, saw a friend who wasn't doing anything and should be been doing ... something, so I decided to provide him with a car, took him to a coffee shop, started interviewing people, ended up at a roster a week later, learned all about Atlanta Coffee- just from prodding, and seeing how I was ... help

5. Everything has it's place
A reminder to pick up trash, clean my room, and kinda a stupid idea that chaos won't happen, it is my own littler moniker though that goes through my head when I'm waiting. Read somewhere the most primitive action anyone can do is to better there environment, and if picking up trash is bettering a place, then so be it. If you- if I am- waiting anywhere, pick up trash, clean, work, do

6. Don't ask permission, ask for forgiveness later
This is a truism which forces me to not cop out, More of a Leigh era (my old boss who I butted heads with all the time)

7. Don't Complain
Redundant, goes along with don't ask for forgiveness.

8. Write it down
I forget things, this might need to be, create- which is a better way of saying what I believe I mean here.

9. Stretch, Breath, Drink Water
Again, this is might belong in my "daily do's" and to think of it, it is.

10. Make dreams into goals
My Mentor miller taught me this, It's a Three step process which takes dreams (ideas you don't act on) and turn them into goals which have: 1. a time line, 2. measurable outcomes 3. a pathway to success

Those are a frame work for being who I want to be (the myth of sean) How ever they're big picture ideas, and tenates I come to when I run into situations, they aren't day to day operations- they're guides. So that means, that #8 might be dropped, and #7 might be renamed.

The daily Do's

From a wake up to a get to sleep I will:

Stretch- take a few deep breaths and help my body
Drink Water- it feels so awesome
Write - my journal
Read - get some brain matter daily
Take Pictures - I don't do this daily, I'm changing it "create something" - make art
Get 8 - hours of sleep, it's kinda essential- and I really enjoyed it working at falling creek
Live in the Moment - I use this to justify turning off my cell phone, it's cute, but doesn't really mean anything.
Plan Tomorrow- Before I go to bed, write down what i want to do the next day... when I don't do, but I'm always planning... which makes me have mixed feelings about this (in the way that I will always look to exercise)

So the new Daily list:

Stretch
Drink Water
Document (used to be write)
Explore (used to be read, but I really just want new ideas)
Create something (used to be take pictures)
Plan tomorrow
Get 8
